January 2018 Reading Wrap-up!

January Wrap-Up

I hope you had a lovely christmas and New Year and that January has been a successful reading month for you all! I managed to read a grand total of 11 books this month which I’m really proud of and according to goodreads puts me 3 books ahead of schedule which is a great start to the new year.

Of those 11 books, 8 of them were ARC’s which is pretty impressive for me and the other 3 were backlist books. I read 7 thriller books, 1 romance and 3 Crime/Police procedural books. I knew I wouldn’t have many romance books as I’ve been on a major crime/thhriller kick recently however the romance book that I did read was also a LGBTQIA book which I’m pleased with.

Overall it’s been a succesful reading month – see below for the list of books I’ve read with links to the reviews:

The Girl in 6E – A.R. Torre (3-star)

Do Not Disturb – A.R. Torre (4-star)

If You Dare – A.R. Torre (4-star)

Watch Me – Jody Gehrman (5-star)

Sepultura – Guy Portman (5-star)

Liars – Frances Vick (2-star)

The Woman in the Window – A.J. Finn (3-star)

The Silent Girls – Dylan Young (3-star)

Black Heart – Anna-Lou Weatherley (5-star)

In the Dark – Cara Hunter (5-star)

Have you read any of the books above or have them on your TBR – let’s discuss thoughts in the comments!

  1. Hi, I abandoned, The Woman in the Window, a chapter or three into it, can’t remember. It was being lacklustre, and how it started reminded me of another mystery book I read. I read Th Girl in 6E, the year it got released and I enjoyed it, was glad to find out there were more books, but I still haven’t read If You Dare, I love Alessandra Torre, but her books love crazy heart attack inducing plot twists, so one day I will be reading If You Dear. It’s also great you had a productive January, mine was good also, book and blogging wise.

    • Yeah I tried to just keep going through hoping it was going to get better because I’d heard such great things about the woman in the window! I liked The girl in 6e but definitely thought it got better as the triology went on so I’d definitely recommend picking the next book up!
Yay that’s good too! I’ll definitely check out your wrap up! 🙂
